Coreldraw graphics Suite, one of the most popular applications for image creation and photo editing, is now available on Linux systems. However, it isnt really a native Linux application.
Like many of the Corel productivity applications built for Linux, CorelDraw makes heavy use of the Wine emulation environment, which renders it less stable than a native Linux application. Users of Red Hat Linux systems should also expect problems with the Fonttastic font server that CorelDraw employs.
Despite these drawbacks, CorelDraw provides powerful illustration and graphics-editing capabilities beyond those found in current Linux applications. CorelDraw Graphics Suite for Linux is priced at $199.
